State Theatre

Situated on Northampton Street, State Theatre ushers in a new era for the arts while still raucously celebrating the old. Through a history dating to 1873, the location has undergone a lifetime of changes as a theatre, movie house and rock concert venue, eventually becoming a non-profit in 1981 and restored to its former glory. Today, productions ranging from classic musicals to circus troupes, tasting events, awards, music acts, orchestras, comedians, workshops and more take place in the space, continuing its revered history and positioning it for a fresh and exciting future.
