The Original Italian Pie was founded in 1992 and quickly won over anyone seeking flavor combinations beyond sausage and pepperoni. In its birthplace of New Orleans, they were so often named "Best Pizza" in various independent surveys that locals created a nickname for the restaurant and began referring to it as "The Pie." As their business grew and the menu expanded, The Pie began to be known for a variety of delicious authentic Italian dishes in addition to the outstanding gourmet pizzas. In 1997, the Italian Pie franchise was created with locations throughout the greater New Orleans area and their signature fare is still going strong. Their catering arm, Pie On The Fly Catering! offers event hosting space with all the accoutrements you'll need for an unforgettable occasion.
