Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Park
As one of only two public gardens in the New York State Parks System, Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park is a 50-acre wonderland of breathtaking beauty. Conveniently located blocks from downtown Canandaigua, the venue offers visitors a respite replete with options, from stunning strolls through pristinely manicured gardens to picnicking, plus tours of the iconic Sonnenberg Mansion. A gift of Gilded Age couple Frederick Ferris and Mary Clark Thompson, the grounds are visited by tens of thousands annually and feature fantastic architecture, themed gardens of the world and a Lord & Burnham Greenhouse Complex.
